Dear Friends,Monday, Bishop Taylor and a team from our Conference, released a plan outlining the steps for re-opening worship services. Fortunately, the worship team has already been preparing and has had a preliminary plan already in progress. We will need Council approval and other documentation but are hopeful that we will be able to physically gather on June 21. Please let me emphasize one of the points in the document:As you consider joining us on the 21st, please consider your health and risks. If you are vulnerable, or in a high risk category, please feel free to remain at home and participate on line. Please read over the following document and understand what steps are necessary. Further information specific to Cassidy will be forthcoming. You can find the document on the Holston.org website or

Live Like God Says
James 1:19-27, Psalms 16:11
Have you ever seen a fish flailing around out of water?
When a fish is in water it is truly alive, flourishing, and at peace, but when you take that fish out of the environment it was made for, it begins gasping for life and violently flails around desperate to get back into the water.
We are not much different than this fish. When we live according to God’s Word we are fully alive, but when we live outside of God’s will in any part of our lives we will feel like a fish out of water, desperate for life. Psalm 16 says, “He makes known to me the pathway of life.” Whatever God tells you to do will lead to greater life and richer joy. God’s commands are not there to hinder our joy, but to lead us into the fullness of it!
As you continue to follow Jesus, God will point out next steps for you to take. He will convict you to change your attitudes and actions in certain areas. He will point out something in the Bible that He wants you to act on. You will hear something in church or from another Christian that will cut you to the heart. This is God inviting you into greater life and richer joy.
Jesus is now Lord of your life which means you obey what He says, trusting that He knows best.
– What is your next step in your walk with Jesus?
– What has God pointed out that He wants you to change?
– What does it mean for Jesus to be Lord of your entire life?
Hello Everyone. Over the past 2 months it is hard to imagine how much has changed. One thing which HAS NOT changed is our effort to supply BACKPACKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES to the children of Zimbabwe.
We are still scheduled to deliver completed backpacks to the District Office in early June.
For every 10 children we sponsor a backpack is used to frame their picture in Love.
To Date we have sponsored 40 children with a GOAL of 100 to complete the picture.
If you have already sponsored, a BIG THANK YOU. If you have, not please consider doing so with a donation of $22/backpack.
We should not a little ole Virus deter us from helping those less Fortunate and in Need.
|“Be strong and courageous.” This is a familiar phrase to most Christians. It is most often associated with Joshua. Moses has just died and Joshua has been selected as Moses replacement. First, God says it to Joshua, then Joshua says it to the people, also telling them to follow the rules that Moses has given them and not to deviate from them. But, the book of Joshua is not the only place we find these words. We find them also in 1 &2 Chronicles, Psalms, Deuteronomy, Ezekiel, 1 Corinthians, Malachi, Job, Colossians, and Jeremiah. What meaning do these words have for us today? We are in a time that few of us have ever seen the likes of. No one knows if or when it is going to end. We all know that things are never going to be quite same as they were. We need to take Heart, for we are also told that the Lord Our God is with us wherever we go!If you are despairing because you are limited in where you can go, follow these words! If you are lonely because you can’t see friends, follow these words! If you are fearful of catching CoVID -19, follow these words! But also remember to follow the rules Our Lord has given us. Don’t go off doing things of your own thinking, puffed up and proud in your own intelligence. Get in The Word daily and study! You have plenty of time. There are those who are saying this will bring about a great revival! I PRAY IT IS SO! Be prepared workers ready to go into the fields as soon as the Lord commands. Now is not the time for relaxing in our duties, but to shift our focus in order to be ready for the next steps to come.BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHERE EVER YOU GO!|
