Sunday School
Let us wake you up on Sundays with Food, Fun and Fellowship! Breakfast in the fellowship hall starts at 9:20am. The leftover cinnamon rolls usually find their way to the FUSION House where we meet at 9:45am. We catch up on the week and dig into God’s word. We don’t just see what God has to say to us, but spend time figuring out how it applies to our lives.
Currently the youth are studying Dare to Dream: Creating a God-Sized Mission Statement for Your Life
Fellowship & Service
“Being a teen can be tough. Just try to surround yourself with really good friends that really have your back, and also be a really good friend to those who really care about you.” – Victoria Justice
You are not alone. We’ve been where you are. We want to celebrate the good times with you and be there to lift you up on the bad days. We love to laugh, bowl, play board games (Apples to Apples was the favorite for years) and of course, eat! Cook outs (mmmm-smores), lock-ins, trips and service projects are all time for us to spend time with each other and grow a little closer to Jesus.
We also love to serve our church and our community. Over the past few years we have set up for the annual Grandma’s Attic Sale, serve as leaders in Vacation Bible School, raise awareness with our Homeless Night Out and canned goods for the Indian Springs Mission Center. From the donations received after Homeless Night Out, the youth have delivered:
50+ non-perishable food items to the Indian Springs Mission Center
- Shampoo & soaps to Shades of Grace
- Socks for the ladies at Oasis in Kingsport
- 22 Health Kits to be delivered to South Carolina
- 40 Blessing Bags to be given to the homeless in our area
- 25 Blankets (stored to be given out in January/February)
Here is our video featuring testimonies and pictures from our mission trip in the Indian Springs community.
Movie Under the Moon was started in 2012 and continued in 2013 by our youth. We show a popular movie out on our church lawn and provide the popcorn and drinks for free. Come join us this summer!
Trips & Outreach
Our favorite trip of the year, every year, is RESURRECTION sponsored by the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. What is it? Fun, Bible Study, Food, Bus Trip, Music, Great Speakers, Hot Tub, Smokey Mountains, Friends, and the Laughter and Praise of 11,000 teenagers in one place!
Jan 22 – 24 – Pigeon Forge, LeConte Center Рget ready for #Rez16
In 2013, 6 youth and 4 adults went to New Jersey to help make repairs to a school, help with vacation bible school and distribute food to those in need after Hurricane Sandy. It was a rewarding experience for all topped off with a day in New York City.
Announcements about the 2015 mission opportunities are coming soon…
