Youth Announcement

YOUTH NEWS
All Youth are encouraged and invited to stay following the morning worship service on Sunday, December 11. We will have a quick lunch and then go shopping for Angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Youth Council will not be meeting on Sunday, December 11.

There will be no Youth Activities on December 18, December 25, or January 1. We will resume our youth activities on January 8.

December Chatty Chicks Meeting

Good morning Ladies,

Let’s Do Lunch! Would you like to meet for lunch once a month with friends from Cassidy? If the answer is yes, then you are invited to the new lunch group, “Chatty Chicks” that will meet the third Monday of each month. Everyone is welcome! Bring a friend, reach out to someone you haven’t seen at Cassidy in a while and invite them, and remember those who are homebound and might need a ride to lunch. Be thinking of your favorite places to eat as we will meet somewhere different each month. If you know someone who does not have email please tell them about lunch.

Please mark your calendar for the third Monday of each month for lunch and please call, email, or text me by next Friday, December 16 if you plan to be there so that I can make a reservation. I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you!

Please stop by the office and pick up your directory pictures. If you ordered additional portraits, there are boxes on the file cabinet with your names. If you cannot find a box, there are envelopes, with additional photos, that have been alphabetized.

Arrangements for Haynes Pendergrass

The arrangements for Haynes have been finalized. Tonight, October 31, there will be visitation beginning at 6pm at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Tomorrow there will be an additional visitation at Cassidy from 1pm until 2pm, with the Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2pm. 

The Committal Service will be at Gunnings Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Clothes Closet Sale

Cassidy Preschool will offer another Clothes Closet Sale on October 17 and October 18 between the hours of 10am to noon, and Wednesday, October 19 before the Wednesday Night Fellowship. Patty Belgeri and her family have graciously donated a wide variety of high quality, new, and slightly used clothes of various sizes. (NO CHILDREN’S CLOTHES). Items will not be priced-you may give a donation for what you like. We hope that you will be generous with your donations because the proceeds will go for the Cassidy Preschool fund. If you can’t make those hours, feel free to come by and browse. If you find something, you may leave your donation with Tammy in the church office, or give it to Preschool at a later date. 

Cassidy Preschool is thankful for all the support given to us by the church.
